I am a wealthy successful black women who typically do not use the race card when shopping. I was looking for a dress for a wedding and I noticed that security was following me around the store. This woman was very obvious to the point I had to ask her why the hell is she steering at me while I am shopping which made me feel uncomfortable. The next time, I came in to return an item and I noticed the manager was following me while I was looking in the jewelry section. I dont know if security is alerting them to follow only certain people; but it is beginning to be annoying.
One thing if you are doing your job, but I am not the only person who experience racial profiling in this Macy's. A couple of my friends said they will never shop at this Macy's again. Which they have a Macy's credit card they will go all the way to KOP.
This is a nice Macy's. It's on a small side and has limited selection of brands but besides that it's a nice to shop.
They has what I was lookingv for in Macy's backstage. Very happy.
Never have a problem finding something I like. Usually get discounts too!!
Some of the Mac workers are so nasty, rude and unprofessional. I went in today and asked politely for a sample of the studio fix fluid. When i went to grab my shade the employee went in between me and my friend and grabbed a shade so rudely and said your “nc25”. Then i showed her what i use and what works perfectly for my skin tone. Then she continued to say I’m not that light. Not only was she disrespectful, but she was telling me i didn’t know my own shade.
Next time I am followed, I will ensure you that I will let the local news know how security are following black men and women around because of the color of their skin. I just want them to know all races steal, not just black people.
