Located at the edge between Ambler and North Wales Boro, this formerly private property has been donated to National Lands Trust.
Great preserve with tons of trails to walk or run. Always see wildlife of all kinds every time we go. Only bad thing i can say is there is not much parking for as big as the preserve is. Over all its a great place.
Another little (or actually not so little, as it turns out) gem of tranquility where you least expect it.
There's a small parking lot accessible from Swedesford Road, and a walking entrance at the corner of Evergreen and Hazlewood drives in a nearby housing development.
Some areas are almost perpetually muddy, so be careful, or wear shoes you don't mind getting dirty.
For the really adventurous, the property abuts the Wissahickon Creek Watershed Trail which runs from North Wales Boro into Philadelphia. There is parking available at Parkside Place if you want to hike in from there.
If you enjoy getting out into nature, this is a great place to visit. Different length trails available.
Several easy walking trails take you through grassland, wetland, and woodland.
Absolutely gorgeous preserve with a wonderful variety of birds and native plant life.
Beautiful park with nice trails and wildlife. Just look out for ticks! My 2 dogs had a collective 10 ticks attached after a one hour walk.
