This place is amazing! I buy lots of groceries. I usually pay over $65. But the plaza is dirty, like the bathrooms, but the nuggets are delicious. Staff is also very, very nice!
A place to get interesting food that is hard to find elsewhere. Shopping here requires you to put in time effort though. It's not as easy as in a regular supermarket but you will be rewarded.
Firstly, the fish market in this store is pretty amazing, considering that it's in the middle of a metro area with no nearby ocean. So many things to grab while you're there. If you like rice you can buy it bulk. There's a comprehensive produce department which has a section for bags of almost spent produce for $1! Hello, 8lbs of bananas. You can get a ton of organ meat, mostly pork for making your own pet food (my main reason for going). There's also a full café, and they serve fresh sushi to eat in or take out. A great selection of teas as well. Definitely stop if you can. You won't be disappointed! Staff is friendly too, even when they don't speak English. If you can speak or understand a little Spanish, you can pretty much find everything you need.
It's one floor, which is convenient. The selection is pretty large. The food court is small. In the winter they don't turn on the heat to save costs. They probably turn off the cooling for the food too.
There is a bb.q chicken in the court though, which is the best thing about this entire store.
Went here with my Chinese student to get some supplies and foods that were familiar to him. I was not impressed with freshness of the produce although they did have some veggies that we can't normally find in our local grocery store. Overall the store is old and appears unclean. My student was able to find the items he was seeking so that was good but I will be searching for an alternative to try before venturing back to this place.
