This is probably the worst banking experience I've EVER HAD! I called about opening an account for my 16 year old daughter and asked what I would need to bring with me. First of all the teller gave me incorrect information so I asked to speak with a branch manager and she transferred me to a lady whos name was Lerma or something like that. She informed me that my daughter who is 16 years old would need to deposit and maintain a minimum balance of $300.00 to open a savings account. I asked her specifically why my other daughter opened a checking and savings account in the bank of america in doylestown didn't have a minimum balance requirement and she said there were different types of savings accounts and that I'd have to come into the NORTH WALES BRANCH LOCATION to discuss the details with her in person and she couldn't discuss that over the phone. I asked several other questions about what type of identification she needed to bring to open an account and she said a drivers license was required ...I explained that she JUST turned 16 and only had her lerner permit which did not have a photo and she said that would not be good enough. Then when I told her I had her student id, her social security card, and her birth certificate she asked me if she could place me on hold so she could ask to see if that would be ok, ..well after holding for over 20 minutes literally and realizing that nobody was goung to pick up I hung up and called the bank of america in doylestown pa. They told me she didn't have any minimum balance required for a checking/savings account as long as she was under 18 and I would just need to make it a joint account for her to get started. The entire ordeal with the NORTH WALES LOCATION is that it seems like nobody has been trained and they don't give the correct information to something as simple as putting my money in their bank to open an account. They made it like I was applying for a million dollar linen of credit! What a total nightmare . I would NEVER recommend for ANYONE to go to the Bank of America in North Wales PA. They are the WORST!

Finally, the teller asked the bank manager, for her to immediately say she could provide the funds. Doesn't end there...
Funds were taken out of the wrong account, never asked which account or let alone a "you're welcome" after a "Thank you for your time" from me to the teller.
To top it off, the tellers were talking down on their drive thru customers like know it alls. Absolutely some Unprofessional staff. I've supported BOA for many years as a biz owner to be treated like a No One today. A non customer-oriented branch who certainly needs better people skills. Notice, the 5 stars have No comment or One word comments.
Unprofessional and resistant. Asked to withdrawal Funds, immediately declined stating bank needs advance notice for funds to be withdrawn. If a bank doesn't carry a minimum of 10k in cash, close your institution. Multiple people told me not to go here and I should've listened, strapped for time so my mistake.
